Luba’s Freebirth in Costa Rica
Oct 20, 2021The day that my son was born, my daughter approached me and told me that today was the day that our baby would be born. Sure enough, that night, I was awakened by surges that started around one in the morning. I meditated through them until the early morning when I woke up my husband and asked him to start getting things set up.
By the time the tub was full, my surges had become very intense, yet they were very short, maybe about 15 seconds long. I relied on self pleasure to allow myself to relax and surrender into the sensations. Around 7am, I was in the tub, roaring like a tiger, and I decided to check if I could feel the head. There it was, about a half a finger deep. Shortly after, I felt my water break, accompanied by an intense urge to bear down.
I grabbed onto the handles that we had set up, and the head came out in one push. While my daughter and husband gazed in awe, I pushed once more, and the rest of him followed. I picked him up slowly out of the water and blew on his face lightly as he came to life in my arms. He cried for about five minutes until he finally latched. He stayed on my breast for the next hour and a half. The placenta came out as soon as I stood up to get out of the tub, and I felt complete.
The whole family enjoyed chocolate cake to celebrate my son’s birthday!
We are so blessed to be such perfect vessels for our children to birth through. This life is such a miracle.
